Anything is Possible

Pallavi (name changed) was distraught. Her in laws were pressurising her to embrace motherhood soon. Her husband was kind and gentle but she could sense his desire to become a father. Her parents also advised her. As if she did not want to be a mother. Even after going through the agony of IVF, she was not pregnant. She came to me for coaching and decided to go through the 10-week holistic coaching program to address her physical, mental, emotional, relational and spiritual wellbeing. Six weeks into the coaching program, a miracle occurred. She conceived! Pallavi was ecstatic. Naturally. In her next caching session, she seemed distraught. Again.

Her mom had said that she would help in bringing up her grandchild. Pallavi’s mom was a successful entrepreneur and was busy with her work during Pallavi’s childhood. Pallavi was primarily brought up by her maternal grandmother. Pallavi had felt abandoned by her mother. And she felt her grandmother did not demonstrate much love her. She would be by herself most of the time while her grandmother watched the television or chatted with her friends. Pallavi did not want her child to be with her mother whom Pallavi labelled as negligent. To compound issues, she was also apprehensive about giving birth in today’s cruel and competitive world. She seemed overwhelmed and practically drowning in all her fears and anxieties.

Among other things, we did a Vision Board exercise to visualise the life she wanted as a parent. We did an exercise on the spere of influence and the sphere of control. We worked through her feelings and the need to forgive her mother and grandmother. She decided to do the Ho’oponopono prayer on a daily basis - I'm sorry; Please forgive me; Thank you; I love you. This was in addition her other affirmations and practices. She was really determined to create for herself, the life that she wanted. Note that here I have only shared a glimpse of the process and the action plan.

Two months back, Pallavi delivered a healthy baby boy. She has named him Adityaraj. She spent the last two months with her mom. Basking in the love and care and attention that her parents showered on her and her son. She called me yesterday to thank me for helping her reach a state of calmness from the chaos that was ravaging her mind regarding her mom. I graciously accepted her thanks, and acknowledged and appreciated her conscious and consistent efforts to create the calmness for herself as a parent.
