Water they say is the elixir (magic potion) of life. About 60% of our bodies are water which mirrors the water composition on Earth. So, it is an essential component of our diet.
Water is involved in many important functions, including:
helping nutrient absorption
flushing out waste from your body
improving blood circulation regulating body temperature
helping your brain function and protecting tissues and joints
helping digestion and preventing constipation
There are various amounts that different experts like nutritionists and doctors suggest. In some philosophies food with high water content is an integral part of the diet and water itself is kept to a minimum. So, if you are already having soups and green juice and lemon water, we don’t have to take 4 lt of water as some experts suggest. We should have as much water as our body requires. This is based on out body type, the level of activity we do, etc. If we listen to our bodies, we will get the signals. For me it is the colour of my urine and the ‘spasms’ I get in my legs which are immediate signals to have some water.
Do remembers that having excessive water can drain out the essential minerals from our bodies. On the other hand, dehydration can bring along with itself many health problems. The water we receive through our taps and other sources are usually depleted of nutrients. You can infuse your water with cloves, cardamom, fennel seeds, mint leaves, lemon grass or any other herbs that you like. I infuse my water with sunlight, positive energies, cloves and bach flower remedies. I have 4 bottles of water that I rotate throughout the week. The blue bottle is kept in sunlight. I have a bottle where I have written inspiration words. To learn more send me an email at Anamika.joyhamesha@gmail .com or send me a WA message if you have my number.
