Establish Healthy Eating Habits

Updated: Jul 27, 2022

Our lifestyles have changed, We are no longer as active as our forefathers were. So the same foods and eating habits no longer make sense.

We all know about inflammation on our bodies. It is how our body responds to infection. When we cut ourselves or get a wound of any kind, the body manages to heal it. But if we consistently attack the same area it will cause inflammation. It is characterized by pain, heat, redness, swelling, and/ or loss of function. Similarly, there is internal inflammation. And when we repeatedly inflict that part of the body that is inflamed, we finally invite illness.

What can we do to heal inflammation?

1. Eliminate all kinds of sugar from the diet. Refer to the blog on What about Insulin.

2. Eliminate simple carbohydrates from your diet. These include bread, pasta, biscuits, cakes, cereals and soft drinks. Refer to the blog on What about Insulin.

3. Eliminate poly-unsaturated oils from the kitchen. Use coconut oil, mustard oil or sesame oil for cooking.

4. Activate PNS. Since the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS) maintains homeostasis, tapping into the PNS more often provides numerous health benefits.

5. Reduce the impact of stress. While stress is inevitable we can strengthen our inner resources through some meditative practices, to cope with stress in a more wholesome way.

6. Reduce frequency of eating. Every time we eat there is an insulin spike. Refer to XXXXXXXXXXX

7. Be aware of radiations. Don’t keep the cell phones on your body. Keep the cell phones away while sleeping

8. Avoid chemicals. Avoid package foods. Go for organic floor and other cleaners.
